Tonight the MWD community lost a great hero and friend. ~ MWD CHEF H067 , EOW 10/20/14 ~ Tonight Louisa had to say goodbye to her hero, best companion in life, and piece of her heart. It was discovered that Chef had pancreatic cancer that had metastasized to his lungs. He was suffering and was in a tremendous amount of pain. I had to be strong and let him go, even though I cant imagine my life without him in it. He was my one true love dog, and I thank god for bringing him into my life and blessing me with each day I had with him. It was truly an honor being his last handler in life, and loving him until the end. Chef, you never let me down, and you always made me smile.
