Tonight we are staying in a very tall, very old watch-tower-esq hostel. The windows in this room are really high, sky-light kinda windows- the kind used in the 18th c and earlier to "air condition" the whole house. Which is fine & dandy till it starts downpouring. Thus ensued quite the midnight adventure with a whole group of people running about trying to close the windows, set up buckets and stop it from raining on the beds. Alex & I are blessed with the beds under the angle of the roof, so no leakage here! But mann, what a thunderstorm! I guess the drought in Dublin had to go out with a bang! Ha!
