Tonight we will attend the city council meeting where Ryan is being recognized for Character Counts. It just so happens that this is the same night that the city council is holding a closed session to discuss KOs reinstatement. I dont think this is a coincidence. I hope that our presence, along with KOs mom and dad (who, mind you, is a retired Illinois State Trooper) will send a message to the council that behind this whole ordeal is a family who sticks together and values integrity and truth. Maybe they will realize the futility in their fighting of the arbitration award and reinstatement and return him to work immediately. And despite any last ditch desperate threats by corporate counsel, we will remain true to our fight and will not give up until our two time lifesaving hero is back in an OPD uniform.
