Tonights dinner. It all started with a couple of strip steaks I got first thing in the morning at a 40% discount. And no I did not grill them for a change. I made steak fingers with gravy and served with a baked potato and sweet corn on the cob. First I made the finger by cutting them into slim to fat 2 in strips. And then I coated them in 1 cup of flour seasoned with 1.5 tablespoons of the following, Pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt. They were then dipped into a batter of 2 eggs and 1 tablespoon of worchestershire sauce. Then rolled in panko and fried in canola oil at 300 degress in my cast iron skillet until golden brown or burnt, which ever came fisrt....:p And then there was the dipping gravy. Steak finger Gravy 4 tbsp. butter 4 tbsp. flour 2 teaspoons of “Superior Better than bullion beef base” 1 tablespoon Salt 1 tablespoon Course ground Pepper 2 1/2 c. milk Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Blend in flour, salt and pepper; cook until smooth and bubbly. Stir in milk. Add beef base. Heat to boiling on medium heat, stirring constantly. Stir and boil 1 minute. It was all awesome!
