Tonite, the Chicago Cubs travel to the City of the Cheaters (St. Louis) to play the Stinkin Cardinals. The Cubs have won the coin toss and elect to bat first. They will receive in the bottom half of the 1st inning. The Cardinals highly-overrated catcher, Yadier Molina (the man with the neck tattoo...or thats what I call him....what was he thinkin), is reputedly possibly/maybe/could be back in the line-up after being out for a couple weeks with an injured thumb. (In the seventh grade, I hurt my thumb but I still played Junior High baseball, and I did not sit out....and they werent paying my nuthin...neither) As usual when the Cards play in St. Louis, the referees for tonights event will all be related, directly or indirectly to the individual Cardinal players, in some way. Former Cardinal manager, Tony La Russa, will be umpiring behind the plate for this evenings event. He will be wearing make-up, but I am told it will really be Mr. La Russa. He will be signing autographs for Cardinal fans at a local bar shortly before the first pitch. If I hear the phrase Cardinal Nation one time I am going to puke.
