Too much stupid today, so to elucidate my last post: Facebook - TopicsExpress

Too much stupid today, so to elucidate my last post: Facebook receives 25% of all Internet traffic. With many web creators foregoing traditional websites in favor of Facebook pages, FB is becoming synonymous with the Internet, much like AOL was in the 90s. The only difference is, Facebook is acting as the gate keeper and deciding what you see and what you dont, based on the highest bidder. Its the opposite of how content on the Internet is traditionally discovered, and more akin to commercials on network television: the highest bidder gets heard while smaller voices are drowned out. What would happen if Facebook started to represent 40%, 50% or more of traffic? If everyone started using FB for communication, messaging, email and posting content, would there be any tangible difference between Facebook and The Internet? Is this a future you want?
