Tororo youths may miss cash. Many youths in Tororo district have not submitted business proposals for grants under the Youth Livelihood Fund, meaning they could miss out altogether. District Youth and Gender Officer Lydia Amoit said many lower local governments had not submitted business proposals from youths by the end of the June 12 deadline. The proposals are vetted at the district level. Amoit said she had only received proposals from sub-counties of Osukuru, Iyolwa and Nagongera. She suggested that youths in other sub-counties were not interested in the grants. However, District Youth Chairperson Fred Onyango blamed community development officers for not guiding the youths on how to write proposals
