Tourist Alert for Women travelers to New Zealand: Any women tourists heading to New Zealand need to know in advance that if they are raped while on their vacation, the most recent New Zealand govt has completely gutted any rape assistance programs, and the (nearly all-male) police force anywhere in the country, and especially in Auckland, will simply laugh at you and tell you, You deserve to be raped, you little tramp! Seriously. This is the attitude of most Kiwi men in positions of authority & law enforcement towards the abuse of women. These men in authority do not view the rape of women as a serious crime, and they do not spend any effort to solve the crime, or provide the victim with any assistance. Women travelers to New Zealand -- BE AWARE!!! You are no safer in New Zealand than in any major US city, and should you be raped, you will receive less assistance than youd expect to, from an OECD member nation.
