#TrafficEC ~ Bus Company Complaints: Sandra De Klerk: Public Servant News Network Eastern Cape: 06:35: Good morning, I was nearly taken out this morning at 6.10 at kenako shopping mall entrance by an Algoa bus. The robot was green for me to and this bus just came speeding over the red robot. I had to slam brakes. Bus number is K1056. To think his carrying the public, kids. All the lives that was lost recently. Dont think thats the way public transport should be driving. Sharnay Harris: Public Servant News Network Eastern Cape: Would like to put out a VERY BIG WARNING to all parents with school going children!!!!! Our children rep EP Hockey travelling to Durban over this past week. On route their on Sunday 6th Juls the buss broke down leaving them stranded on the side of the road for 6 Hours in the cold and with no food, a bus that had three broken windows to start with. After contacting Mr Van Rensburg from VAN RENSBURG bus services we all received am email of apology and where assured the buses would be travelling in a group of 3 on the way back for the boys safety and that the buses had been checked in Durban! 113km out of Durban on Sat. Before Kokstad the bus broke down again this time leaving them stranded from daylight another 6 hours and into the night again no food. Traffic Depo then being called to stand with our boys on the side of the road while they move the bus. When the relif bus eventually arrived it was all they had EVEN though there was no liscence disk. No triangle to put by the bus for breakdown and no gas in the Fire instinquisher. As well as the bus driver dosing off twice that was noticed by the boys and having truck light in their eyes. This is but to mention a few pointers of the trauma our children have been through by Van Rensburg Bus services. I do not need compensation from Mr Van Rensburg as he has been nothing but rude and full of false promises and put our childrens lives as risk. All I would like to see is that other parents are warned so that they do not have to go through and be afftected like the families and EP reps have been. Please share with your fam and friends so we can prevent any further incidents like this for other families. In total there were 5 buses that broke down(That we know of).
