Tragična sudbina jednog strip crtača Veljko Kockar, an all-but-forgotten cartoonist from pre-WW2 Yugoslavia, was the creator of the Kaktus Kid, a Disney-inspired hybrid of man and cactus. After liberation of German-occupied Yugoslavia, the newly established Communist government denounced Kockar as an enemy of the state and, without a trial, shot him as an allegedly Gestapo agent. Proof of Kockars collaboration with the Germans has never been revealed. In this documentary/animated film, we follow Aleksandar Zograf, a world-renowned alternative comics creator, in his investigation into the mystery surrounding the life - and death - of his colleague from the past, executed at the age of 24.
