Training Tip of The Day (TTOTD): If you want to get stronger in a particular lift, you have to be specific with your programming. Getting stronger in the deadlift doesn’t happen by doing a lot of Curlz for the Girlz. Here are a few tips to improve your deadlift: 1. See every repetition as an opportunity to perfect technique. Light or heavy – it doesn’t matter. 2. Treat the lighter weights, as you would treat the heavier weights. Tension is king. 3. Improve your speed/explosiveness. The faster you can break the bar from the floor the more successful your lift will be. 4. Work on your weak area. Do you struggle breaking the bar from the floor, you can as an example, perform deficit deadlifts and good mornings as your accessory work. 5. Work on grip strength. 6. Build a humongous back – both in terms of strength and size. 7. Develop a strong and stabile mid-section. 8. Do a lot of deadlifts. Like they say – “If it is important to you – do it every day”. Below are a few videos with different deadlift variations you can use (all technique videos). youtube/watch?v=Fngsb10DFFM youtube/watch?v=kV0vQzqYlfs youtube/watch?v=SYiSUM_dsJM Dedicated to Your Success and Health, -K
