Trajen is inpatient at PCH for his LAST CHEMO TREATMENT!!!! Can you believe it? It feels a little surreal tonight as I sit here typing and reflecting upon the little soldier’s journey over the last eight months. Trajen has had his fair share of bumps in the road on this journey, but he has also been lifted and carried through your numerous kindnesses, services, outpourings of love, and through Heaven’s tender mercies. What a crazy ride- for all of us in the Curtis household! Tonight, in order to avoid sappy nostalgia (who knew childhood cancer could inspire nostalgia?) I am just going to report that Trajen is doing very well. Methotrexate will be hung at about 10pm and we are looking forward to going home by Friday. The little soldier is as happy as a clam with complete autonomy over the remote control and visions of The Zone dancing in his head. Included in this post will be a couple of pictures of our Thanksgiving fun in Safford, AZ at Grannie Curtiss farm. It was such a special time. We were surrounded by family, FUN, and amazing food. Most of all, Thanksgiving truly gave us an opportunity to reflect upon a million things to be thankful for this year- most of which included something to do with Trajen and our family. We have just so many things to be grateful for!
