Treated myself to lunch today at a well-reviewed restaurant, but had problems with both the service and the food. As one does, I spent half the meal composing a bad review in my head. As I left, I changed my mind and sought out the manager. Turns out the owner was on site. Had a nice long satisfying conversation with him, had all my issues addressed, plus he comped me a future dinner service. Much more satisfactory to me than going online and grousing, and, I believe, more helpful to the management, too. PS: That waitress from Brooklyn might be the nicest, sweetest waitress in NYC, but in Oregon she comes off as rude and inattentive. Fifteen minutes to get a beer in an almost empty restaurant? Sheesh!
