Trenton Battle Jun 12 2013 | Family Fathers Day 2013 Fathers Day 2013 is upon us, and it is another blessed opportunity to honor fathers every where. The LORD God placed a tremendous burden of responsibility upon fathers; so much so, God created them to mirror Himself. Some may say it is only coincidental, while others, like myself, believe it is divinely purposed of old that the very first word of the Bible, in terms of dictionary order, is the Hebrew word "ab", meaning father. For those who believe, God has demonstrated His utmost concern for the work and role of fathers. God (Elohim) is the Eternal Godhead of Father, Son (Word), and Holy Ghost (Spirit). The Father is the principal One of the Godhead (no, not a conflict of inequality through superiority, but of equality through love and reverence towards the Word and Spirit). Father [ab = chief, father, patrimony, patriarchs, principal] is a primitive root word, giving it the place of preeminence so that all other forms or uses of the word "ab" must be subservient to it. Even the very rendering of its spelling denotes a place of authority and divine preeminence. "Ab" consists of the Hebrew letter "aleph" and "bayth", and these are the first and second letters of the Hebrew 22 letter alphabet. The "aleph" represents an ox head, which by principle of the arrangement of the camp of Israel in the wilderness, speaks of the spiritual beginning of all things. The ox head was on the west side; the side of the Ark and Mercyseat. The "bayth" represents a house, family, temple; thus, the Heavenly Father is the Source, Origin, spiritual Beginning of all things, and is the Sole Provider, Caretaker, Eternal Cause, and Protector of all the household of creation (natural and spiritual). The Eternal Heavenly Father is also the end of all, meaning all existence has its origin and conclusion in the Father. Again God manifests the eternal importance and responsibility he placed upon fathers (beginning with the Heavenly Father). God has also unified the "aleph" with the final (22nd) letter of the Hebrew alphabet, the "thawv or tawv". The "thawv or tawv" represents the sign of the Cross; therefore, the Father has the burden of providing, caring, cause, protecting, and redeeming and restoring the household of God (all of creation). The LORD God commissioned this same awesome responsibility upon Adam male in the Garden of Eden. Adam was purposed to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over sea, air, and earth life, and also to dress and keep the garden in Eden. God also made Abraham to be the first partriarch; thus, the father of many nations, the father of faith, and the faithful one. The Heavenly Father has appointed unto earthly fathers to provide, protect, care, for our household, and to remind them of the Heavenly Father and His Eterna Cause and Redemptive Effect. Fathers must continuously instruct their household of the "Aleph" and the "Tawv". The Father saw the prodigal son afar off and ran to him, protected him, restored him, provided for him, and returned him to the household of faith. Though Adam the first failed, today we still have the hope of redemption to return us to the spiritual beginning, even our Father the Aleph and Bayth that we can again be of the household and faith. Through the Aleph and the Tawv we can be the fathers the LORD God purposed us to be. God bless and Happy Fathers Day! Trenton Battle
