Tried to post a link that I wanted to share but it didnt work so here is what it said...taken from shamanic-chikung Reiki and Qigong, together? Reiki and Qigong, are inextricably linked. Their very origins are the same, illustrated by the Chinese Kanji characters they are labelled with. They both invite us to engage with the awesome healing power of the universe and from a truly grounded perspective, encourage a natural equilibrium to be reached where the deepest levels of healing can take place. Reiki Qigong is open to all levels of Reiki practitioners for continuing their personal and professional development. Connected at their roots Chi Kung offers us some remarkably simple but effective tools to utilize both prior to and whilst bringing Reiki through, resulting in more profound healing sessions. Historically, Chi Kung (Qigong) was utilised by the Emperors of China over many dynasties to maintain energy, promote longevity and regain health after illness. Dr. Usui the Japanese scholar and philosopher who brought Reiki back and reclaimed it for modern use is said to have practiced ‘Kiko’ – the Japanese form of Chi Kung. It is recorded that he was fascinated by the way old Qigong practitioners emitted healing energy (qi/chi/ki) into their clients, but then were depleted afterwards, and felt that surely there must be another way. As Reiki is a self sustaining system and does not require the practitioner to discharge any of their chi, rather become a clear conduit for the universal life force energy Reiki to flow through and into the recipient. As Qigong has developed it too has become a self sustaining system by utilising the properties of Yin Yang at the core of Taoist philosophy and exploring internal alchemy. Connected in their essence “In a constantly changing Universe, the only place we can experience stillness is at the centre of ourselves” Chi Kung helps to clear energy channels and de-stress the body by unwinding body patterns that get in the way of stillness, and therefore impede healing energy flow. Through movement and meditation we learn to observe places of stagnation, places where we are holding on, as well as noticing where your natural energy ebbs and flows. The goal is to place ourselves in the optimum position so we become part of a greater energy system and in so doing allow a maximum flow of energy through us creating more vitality, stable grounding and a better connection. Reiki Qigong is an exploration into your own energy system, as an extension of a Universal system. Our Training What to expect This training will give you time and space to listen to and explore your own energy system and how you can best access its healing and transmitting potential. The aim is to be able to consciously place yourself in the optimum resourced position to facilitate a clearer channel of the Universal healing system known by many as Reiki, to flow through you. This can result in creating more natural vitality and promoting a stable grounding for a more profound connection in. Chi Kung offers us some remarkably simple but effective tools to utilize prior to treating others, resulting in more effective healing sessions. You will learn important preparation exercises teaching you to ground and gather chi energy from your environment and so much more to bring to your treatments. We will teach you clearing sequences, breathing techniques, postural considerations, visualisations and movements allowing a more powerful Reiki facilitation and therefore more effective healing for you and your Reiki recipient. Reiki Qigong includes… Clearing, sweeping movements all around the body, as a repeated sequence, for refreshing the meridian channels, so that the Chi can flow freely, with particular emphasis on the heart and pericardium lines. Clearing as an integral part of your procedure for prepping the healing space used, for between treatments. Gathering Chi from the Earth into the Chakras for stability, energetic harmony and resourcefulness – we need to be replenished ourselves, before bringing Reiki through effectively for others. Preparing for a treatment, feeling your Chi/Qi/Ki Self healing and healing exchange. Qigong moves useful during treatments. Settling and integrating with Reiki Meditation.
