Trip to Endocrinologist was as follows, the reason the cardiologist who looked at my labs thought I had thyroid CA, was because the last GP ordered a thyroglobulin ( lab) level . He went on to say that that specific test is to assess people who have or have had thyroid cancer, to evaluate wether or not the surgery or treatment is working. There is no other reason to order it otherwise! The normal range of TSH is 0.3 to 3 , mine is 16.23 , but when I was diagnosed it was 85.81 back in 09. So more blood in 6 weeks new directions on my thyroid meds . Continue the numerous supplements and decrease stress UGH! When asked about the integrity of my hair will it return to its full luster and thickness? He said I cant say No I cant say Yes! He told me I need to decrease my stress level but thats so next to impossible with my present per diem work schedule and all my bills as well as being depressed about my favoriteish job in the world I have waited for that job my whole life :-( & now my son is going back to Marthas Vineyard ( to open his restaurant ) and while I complain about about all his little idiosyncratic ways, Im gonna miss the hell out of him! I guess crying a Few times a day is not good for my stress either ! This Hashimotos is consuming me I cant eat gluten( which I have been semi gluten free for awhile) but then I forget and order something with breadcrumbs ( rare like 1-2 a month) on it! So I guess Im partial gluten free! Im not sure what to eat and not to eat and I dont want to gain weight so Im afraid to eat anything. He says Im to critical about diet and not eating enought protein, fats and veggies that can affect hair too!!!!! Im used to being 113-115 and this 4-5 extra pounds ( Xmas weight gain) is also causing stress and anxiety I have to get it off!!!!! It makes me miserable !!!!Anyway I have an RX for 3 different ultrasounds ( which I cant have due to medical deductible that must be met prior to having them pay for the ultrasounds $150 copayment for each test ) the good news is the fibroid , that I have is the size of a 18 week pregnancy but it is not affecting the Thyroid( yay) and I am not peri menopausal or menopausal so still a young woman in that department( Joy joy joy) ! But definitely need surgery to remove it which in more likely hood when they get in there they usually find that these annoying little fibroid monsters wrap around your other organs and you need to have a hysterectomy ! Great! Thats a 4 week recovery and I have no one to help unless me, Maybe if I train one of the three dogs to stand on their back two paws and learn how to cook and clean and help me to the bathroom and !!!🐶🐶🐶hey maybe they can drive too! Lol! Anyway for the moment he is adjusting meds and more labs in 6 weeks and 24hour cortisol assessment ( for adrenal insufficiency) as well as parathyroid assessment to check for Pituitary tumor will be done .......so its a wait and see on the Ca! He said on feeling the thyroid gland it does not feel suspicious on palpation . So no news is good news ! I guess! Sorry this is so long but it was easier to status update all of you instead if sending all individual private messages ! My cut and paste on the iPad is giving me problems! So THANK YOU all 4 all of your concerns and prayers🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 ! Keep sending them !!! Xoxo ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
