True forgiveness (to give or receive) sometimes entails you to - TopicsExpress

True forgiveness (to give or receive) sometimes entails you to have forget details and certain events, sort of like having selective amnesia....Jesus amnesia is what I call it. Its sooo hard to sift and sort through the memories (the good & bad ones that is) that created the circumstance or situation for which you must forgive or ask to be forgiven. If you struggle with forgiving or have a spirit of pride and just cant make that step to 100% forgive and hand it to God for eternity because you juat know youre right and they deserve to be mistreated for the wrongs that theyve done to you-- try to get some Jesus amnesia and forget all the circumstances that lead to that encounter. In time, as your walk with The Lord lengthens and strengthens and your faith, love, and fruits become deeply rooted- you can then attempt to reflect back and sort out all the details. In fact, a lot of the time when I do this, I realize that I not only needed to forgive- but that I now must ask for forgiveness myself because I see that I played a role too and wasnt totally 100% the victim. Forgiving others and asking for forgiveness is a huge step in realizing SPIRITUAL FREEDOM. So, until you can sift & sort (Recall, Renounce, Release & Renew!) with No Remorse or Regrets-- develop a case of Jesus Amnesia & forgive and ask to be forgiven. Ephesians 4:32 - And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christs sake hath forgiven you.
