Trump tight. If the 911 gt3 is the purest expression of the 911 in naturally aspirated form.. the gt2 is the ultimate expression of porshe and all their engineering exploits. The gt2 debuted in 1993 as the aircooled turbocharged 993 model with a wide body... upgraded brakes ...light weight parts and increased horsepower. Acceleration is brutal and the brakes....well the g forces could crush rocks into powder. Because the gt2 is Porsches collection of technology and racing heritage all rolled up in a aggressive and light weight package its hard to ignore the fact that Porsche has put all it chips on the table and bet the house that it has one of the most elite street and track ready cars available . Porsche moved on to the 996 and although Porsche paid a little bit more attention to the new gt3...still 996 gt2 is the most expensive Porsche in the lineup also the fastest. The 997s new chassis ..active engine mounts and porsches amazing electronic stability program or esp gave the gt2 a new foundation to work its race car derived magic....not only was it easier to drive the the gt2 quickly but you were less likey to kill yourself at speed that break the laws of physics. The gt2 in 997 form was reaching in excess of 500 hp and in RS trim 600 plus....simply mind blowing performance from the flat six powerplant with two snails attached to it. The gt2 has gone through 3 generations of spine crushing speed....road and track pedigree and representing Porsche as its flagship car sold for public consumption...only the rare and ultra expensive 918 spyder serves up more technology and speed but of course at a stratospheric price.The 991 gt2 has yet to be released but im sure 650 to 700hp is certain for porsches ultimate expression of the 911. The gt2 is Porsches most expensive and fastest accelerating production car . Although many would argue that the gt3 is porsches ultimate expression of the 911 driving experience ....the gt2 is the biggest statement you can make when it comes to porsches technology and driving philosophy....one that only shrinks when a 918 spyder shows up.....but like a unicorn your not likely to run into a 918 on your many adventures traveling through time and space.
