Try again during Facebook prime time... At last, news given to us as it should be. With honesty, compassion and humanity. This is happening in our world right now, we have become apathetic towards it as we cocoon ourselves in our mundane lives of working, having to pay our bills and watching crap on television. We are obsessed with celebrity, with sport, with having a good time on the weekend because we work hard all week, we deserve some fun, to relax. Of course we do, everyone does, we only get one chance at life and we should make it as pleasurable as possible for ourselves and for those we love. Perhaps we should try to extend that love to the rest of civilisation. If this was closer to home, in the country we are living, it would be much more real to us, it would be a tragedy, it would be wrong, we would be wanting to do something about it. We accept borders as our safety net, we choose patriotism over equality, celebrity over humanity, money over empathy. Whether you agree or not, we have chosen to build and live in a cold and harsh world, where a plot in a soap opera on TV is more important to our lives than the brutal deaths of innocent children. We condone our own ignorance and lack of concern by accepting the status quo of the political situation, the religious connotations. We are all indoctrinated, brainwashed to think a certain way, to accept human injustice more than we would accept an overpriced pot of tea. Have no doubt that the western media are filling us with what they and our governments want us to be filled with. That is how apathy is born, how it is bred, how it continues to exist as we pass it on to our children, the next generation, so nothing changes. So war can continue. So capitalist regimes can continue to wield the axe of power and control. Our governments main concern, their top priority is to keep things exactly as they are. They do not want us to stand up, to speak out, to create awareness, to do something. They want us to go to school, to learn the same things, to accept the same version of history, to get a job, any job, to pay our taxes, to behave and abide by any ridiculous mind controlling law they see fit to invent, to get married, raise a family, teach our children the same as we were taught, that is to obey the laws and live to the standards of the government of the country that your child is born into, and to die quietly. Our world is a mess, it is a disgrace, we should be ashamed.
