Trying to find a way to ship to Liberia and running into more problems. There are so many issues that we dont even think about here in a country that has so much and moves freight constantly. This is from an e-mail I got this morning. ....the ports of Freetown and Monrovia are essentially closed. Two problems – one, with the shut-downs on public gatherings in Liberia and Sierra Leone, there is a shortage of workers for logistical purposes. But the bigger problem is that ships are refusing to put into port – because, if they do, other ports “downstream” are refusing to allow them into port. We’re working with our freight forwarder to determine when that might change – we’d heard last week that the world’s largest shipping company, Maersk, was looking at sending “dedicated” ships just to Freetown and Monrovia, but haven’t been able to confirm that.
