Tuesday evening, January 28th, at around 7pm, I spoke at the Westend Republican Clubs meeting, at the Luna Rosa Restrurant, Gilbert, Pa. ... I handed out a bunch of Property Tax Independence Act flyers, copies of recent newspaper articles, reporting on property tax related issues, a copy of foreclosuress county by county breakdown of foreclosure filings [during the past year], etc. ..................... I explained the PCTA, PTCC, our bus roadtrips, the act, and answered questions. I also handed out a copy of the Pocono Records recent article on John Pedersens victory over the Monroe County Tax Office and a copy of the commonwealth courts decision. ................... Among the members in the audience were also, one Monroe County commissioner and two 176th state district candidates. One candidate is a also PTCC member and as the other candidate told us, he prefers elimination as well, I invited him to join the PTCC. ................... The discussion was lively. Of the two dozen or so attendees, several made comments and asked questions. ................. A couple of weeks ago, the clubs chairman had called and asked me to speak. Though I enthusiastically accepted, until I actually stood up and started speaking, I was nervous and afraid Id stumble. In retrospect, I was applauded and complimented. They asked me to report an update at their next meeting, Feb 26th, 2014, same time and place.
