Tuesday nights ratings (scan towards bottom) and observations: -Boston Red Sox!!!! I knew you would do it!!! Congratulations !!. Game 6 of the World Series proved a big draw as The Boston Red Sox won their third World Series in a decade on Fox. Boston is indeed Title Town. The ratings for last nights game were up 50% compared to Monday nights game. Folks tuned in for the probable resolution of the series and to see the Red Sox win a World Series at home for the first time in a century. -Game six of The World Series obvious took some steam out of the other network offerings which were a mixture of new episodes and repeats. -NBC aired a new episode of Revolution which tied the shows series low. Revolution will have to make a much stronger case in the spring for a season 3. Many fans feel the quality of the show has improved so maybe word of mouth can help but is it possible to jump (back) aboard at this point? Law and Order: SVU was a repeat of the season opener two hour episode. -The Middle and Back in the Game got the same ratings as last week but following a repeat of Modern Family caused Super Fun Night to drop by around 20%. The Goldbergs and Trophy Wife did not see such a decline after a repeat of Agents of SHIELD so at this point I dont know how to call the chances of the ABC comedies getting a full season. Add to the fact the network in general is doing poorly. My guess is Super Fun Night > The Goldbergs > Back in the Game > Trophy Wife??? Nashville was down to a series low last night. If an ABC drama veteran is cancelled, Nashville is outpacing the similarly rated Revenge for that spot. -A slate of all original episodes on CBS was down about 10% on average across the board. -On The CW both Arrow and The Tomorrow also took hits. I still expect there to be an announcement that The Tomorrow People has gotten a full season order shortly. The ratings numbers for Tuesday October 30th. -The first number is the 18-49 rating (sort of a %). -The second number is approx. # of viewers 18-49. -The third number is total viewers of all ages -R=repeat 8:00 FOX World Series Game 6 (8-11PM) - Live=5.7 / 7.2 million / 19.18 million CBS Survivor=2.3 / 2.9 million / 9.00 million ABC The Middle=2.2 / 2.8 million / 8.03 million NBC Revolution (8-901PM)=1.4 / 1.8 million / 4.87 million CW Arrow=0.8 / 1 million / 2.37 million 8:30 ABC Back In The Game=1.7 / 2.2 million / 6.11 million 9:00 CBS Criminal Minds=2.4 / 3 million / 10.64 million ABC Modern Family -R=2.2 / 2.8 million / 7.22 million NBC Law & Order: SVU - R (9-11PM)=1.1 / 1.4 million / 4.22 million CW The Tomorrow People=0.6 / 762,000 / 1.72 million 9:30 ABC Super Fun Night (9:31-10PM)=1.7 / 2.2 million / 5.17 million 10:00 CBS CSI=1.7 / 2.2 million / 9.50 million ABC Nashville=1.4 / 1.8 million / 5.25 million Well now that The World Series is over I can get back to my regular TV viewing schedule. When The Patriots make the playoff and then The Super Bowl that should not affect my schedule ;-) Hope everyone had a nice week as things die down. Happy Halloween -Anthony
