Two days chess championship is concluded on this evening. There were a total of 8 rounds of play. One High School Boy (rated player) grabbed the title with 7 ½ points. I got 4 points only. However it’s nice experience to play with rated players and of course, to make me feel my weakness and blunders at the Board. Anyway, I feel proud to be there and it’s a good opening for a beginner like me. Here I wish to mention one name, none other than, Mr. Rajesh Krishnan, Ex IAF buddy, who taught me the game (initially) in those glorious Air Force days.
