Two necessary attitudes for Bible teachers So I sent for you immediately, and you have been kind enough to come. Now then, we are all here present before God to hear all that you have been commanded by the Lord. Acts 10:33 Bible teaching is teaching. Learn and follow all the rules of teaching when you teach the Bible. However, two realities elevate Bible teaching above all other teaching. First, the teacher must be fearfully careful to present what is commanded by the Lord. This begins with careful study but also includes your delivery. God uses human instruments to teach, but the human instrument must labor to keep SELF from defiling the holy Word of God. Listen to an audio of your teaching. Ask the question, How did my words, attitudes, or general presentation obscure or contradict the teaching? Because you are a sinner you can know that you were inconsistent. You can also know that when you identify an inconsistency, it will be a pattern that you repeat. Weed out habitual inconsistencies. Second, we are all here present before God! This is not a math or social studies class. When you teach or when you listen to the Word of God being taught, God and His holy angels are in the same classroom! Remember, God and His angels are not just in your classroom, they are taking notes! Books of remembrance are being written and filed in heaven. These books will be reopened when a believer stands before the Lord Jesus at his Bema (tribunal). On the basis of those records listeners and teachers will gain reward of suffer loss. Conclusion. Clearly the commands of God in the presence of God.
