Tyrant S01E03 Tyrant S01E03 Tyrant is an American drama television series created by Israeli director, screenwriter, and writer Gideon Raff and developed by Howard Gordon and Craig Wright.[1] A 10-episode first season has been ordered by the American cable network FX. The series premiered on June 24, 2014.[2] The pilot episode was written by Raff and directed byDavid Yates.[1] Bassam « Barry » Al Fayeed is from the fictional war-torn country of Abbudin. He has been living in self-selected exile in Los Angeles for nearly 20 years. Barry, the younger son of Baladi’s dictator, ends his exile to return with his American family to his homeland for his nephew’s wedding. His arrival leads to a dramatic culture clash, as he reluctantly returns to the familial and national politics he once left. Cast Adam Rayner as Bassam « Barry » Al-Fayeed, the second son of the dictator of Abbudin. He has been in self-selected exile in Los Angeles, working as a pediatrician.[3] Jennifer Finnigan as Molly Al-Fayeed, his American wife, with whom he has two teenage children[3] Anne Winters as Emma Al-Fayeed, one of the two teenaged children[3][4] Noah Silver as Sammy Al-Fayeed, Barry and Molly’s 16-year-old son Ashraf Barhom as Jamal Al-Fayeed, Barry’s older brother and the next-in-line for the Presidency[3] Moran Atias as Leila Al-Fayeed, Jamal’s wife[3] Alice Krige as Amira Al-Fayeed, the matriarch of the Al-Fayeed clan, Amira is the first lady of Abbudin. Justin Kirk as John Tucker, the U.S. diplomat to Baladi[3] Mehdi Dehbi as Abdul, a young man from Abbudin who comes from a long line of men who have proudly served as security for the Al-Fayeed family. Fares Fares as Fauzi Nadal, freedom-fighting reporter.[5] Salim Daw as Yussef, the longtime top political advisor to the President of Abbudin. Mor Polanuer as Samira, a 20 year old Muslim girl and opposition activists fought bravely on the principles which believe. Production While the show is filmed throughout various cities in Israel such as Kfar Saba, Petakh Tikva, and Tel Aviv,[6] the fictional Arab country of « Baladi » is deliberately compiled from mixed elements of a few different actual countries, in order not appear to simulate a particular nation or situation. The producers of the series have also said that no particular sects or clans will be named while relating details. Executive producer Howard Gordon stated, « We do want to stay away from reality and yet hew to it as long as sort of it feels emotionally correct and culturally correct. I think we’re going to try to stay away from names as much as possible. »[3] The first television promos appeared in April 2014, featuring an excerpt of the song « Wave » from the album Morning Phase by Beck.
