UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: A NIGHT OF DRAWS FOR BOTH GAMES! UNITED FORCED TO A DRAW BY BAYERN! Manchester United 1 - 1 Bayern Munich Manchester United did put up a fantastic performance to hold defending champions Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw at the Old Trafford. As expected, Bayern dominated the ball, especially in the 1st half but couldnt make anything of it despite ending the half in a possession percentage of 78% to Uniteds 22%. They had just one shot on target against Uniteds two. Danny Welbeck did miss a glorious chance in the 40th minute when he should have put United ahead. In the 2nd half, Bayern resumes domination of the game but it was Man Utd who went ahead when Nemanja Vidic heads in a swinging cross from Wayne Rooney to send the Old Trafford crowd into wild celebrations. However, Bastian Schweinsteiger puts Bayern level in the 66th minutes to hand the defending champions an advantage against the 2nd leg at the Allianz Arena. Bayerns goalscorer Schweinsteiger was sent off for a 2nd bookable offence in the last minute of regulation time. Against expections from some fans, the result of this game doesnt show any sign of a mismatch as widely predicted. Good result for United! Advantage Bayern! ***************************************** NEYMAR SAVES BARCA AGAINST ADVANTAGED ATLETICO!
