UPDATE: 10:15 Thursday Night - Andra is still doing wonderful!! Some of the best news we got this afternoon was that the goal for her over the next 24 to 48 hours is to hopefully remove the ventilator. We found out today that the bleed was apparently located at or near the hypothalamus, but they feel confident there is no new bleeding since this first occurred. Praise God!! She is still responding to questions appropriately by nodding/shaking head and or thumbs up. Still wiggling toes when asked to. She also mouthed to HR today that she loved her. They also told us that when it comes to strokes, this type was the worst there is and that we were very fortunate that she is even responding and improving at this rate. Fortunate = Miracle after miracle from God!! We have received many messages asking how to get cards to her. Today, they told us that it is a wonderful thing for people in this type of recovery to have cards, pictures, and such hanging within view of them. If you would like to send Andra a card, words of encouragement, or any personal pictures of your child with her while she was their teacher, you can either drop them off at our house or mail them to me and we will fill her walls to the point of re-wallpapering them.
