UPDATE AS PROMISED. The meeting this morning went really well with the girl who does LIFE stories on DVD for those with Dementia and their families. Good to share information with her and point her in the right direction re useful contacts ect, then just after lunch we met with the Deputy Chair of Brixham Council and was invited to a full council meeting to speak about Dementia and get them all signed up. Then it got even better !! We went to our memory cafe and met up with the new bloke over the westcountry regional memory cafes, great to finally meet him, and to top it all elaine took a recording of the Purple Angel Song and they played it in front of a FULL memory cafe right here in Torquay, and they all loved it!!! We came home to find even more shops across the UK have been signed up and the hospital in Crewe are trying to get in touch to find out how they can become Dementia aware !!! so all in all its been such such a fantastic day.
