UPDATE: Big update here but first FROST and Winter I know I should not post so early but the data is updated so why not share. I must provide a ski resport with a Aug 1 update, soooo. Summer will never get a huge hold on us as we get hot, but as we have been saying for months breaks will occur often and may be strong. We are headed into a hot spell, but only lasting 3-5 days then another break. It will be in the 90s this week, but after a 100% chance of Tuesday night or Wednesday storms it turns cool next week-end. And that cool spell might give us another 70s day at the end of the week. It will not be as strong as the last cool wave though. Look for an early fall frost and my guess followed by an Indian Summer. Following somewhat of a pattern change due to El Nino the winter looks at least a little mild and maybe very mild if El Nino is as strong as it looks. Winter rain-snowfall looks normal. The upcoming cool down my not be as strong, but it may last longer with both the 6-10 and 8-14 day outlooks on average looking below normal temps and wet. Now take that rain with a grin of salt. The whole summer was to be wet. Enjoy your week ahead. --Kerry Dean, NWA.
