UPDATE: Gracie Hello! I wanted to drop you a note about the big goof ball. She is tipping the scales at a whopping 48 lbs. This is up almost 11 pounds since she was spayed, on 9/10. Clean bill of health from the vet. She received her vaccinations 2 weeks ago and goes back this Saturday for next round. Wondering what her mix is. When she runs with the hump up I think she’s camel but most likely she is a greyhound mix. Did a Google search and looks just like her. The vet believes she won’t be big (heavy) but tall and slender. The weight she has gained has covered the ribs but she still looks skinny so I think she is getting taller and growing in to her big, colt-like legs. She is a wonderful soul. We have bonded, and I am the big dog lover. We just may have the ‘paw’ thing down. Making progress there. She is excellent as far as being housebroken but doesn’t listen so well. She doesn’t pretend to ignore you, she just will lie and roll over and won’t come in the house. She has become a digger but since we are out there with her at all times, the holes aren’t huge. As you said Susan, she is a water dog! The puddles are her bed. What a personality. Chloe, our Morkie, is 5 months old and the only issue is their rough play. She is as bad as Gracie. She will be perfectly content on her bed and Chloe with dive bomb her and bite her ears (with the sharp baby teeth) and her tail, bite her lips and paws. One big paw comes over and immediately pins her down. She hugs the pup and she keeps coming back for more. Gracie is rough only because I think she is dopey and doesn’t realize she is so big. She can put Chloe’s whole head in her mouth! And, her mouth fits quite nice around Chloe’s throat. So, we limit the outdoor play as Gracie will charge her and scares her. They will, however, run together holding a stick at each end. Been trying to nail that picture for a while. Gracie will trot and Chloe will trot directly underneath her. They will chew their bones on Gracie’s bed until Chloe becomes gnat-like. Overall, I think they will be fine. They are both babies still so teaching Gracie to be gentle is like teaching a 2 year old. It’s challenging, for sure. One of the twins favors Grace and our 14 yr. old grandson loves Grace and wants to have her sleep in his bed. Not going to start that! Sometimes at night, when readying the house for bedtime we will go to put her out and we will find her curled up on the bed with one of the girls. She takes turns. Thanks so much for bringing her to our family -Nancy
