UPDATE: I found Popeye on Saturday and did not have phone to get a pic I will get it Monday, Please read his story below and share, he could die tomorrow. Popeye is a 4 year old Tabby who was chased under my deck by some dogs at 5 am on Saturday. I heard them I did not see it, they woke me and my dogs up. When I found him he could not use his hind legs, instead of going to a shelter or calling animal control, I took him straight to the vet. I did not want him to suffer all week end hoping for a rescue that may not happen. I found his owners who said put him to sleep. I thought he deserved a chance. He has a broken vertebrae, and a few other problems, This is vet bill for the week end. HE NEEDS A HOSPITAL as quick as he can get one. He can not go to hospital with no funds and I can not cover this as My dog is in need also. Popeye is life or death at this point, please dont let him die please donate any amount to help him. He has a broken vertebrae, and air in his back end from puncture wounds, they do not know for sure about internal. He is able to feel pain. He needs to go to the hospital as soon as possible, they are keeping him at vet over the week end to monitor kidney, bowels ect. and see how he does. I located the owner who said PTS because they can not pay to treat. They said the cat belongs to their daughter who is 13 or so and they are telling her they are putting Popeye to sleep I asked them to wait before doing that yet.. Is there any one who will help me with this first part of the bill to help save Popeyes life. The bill and vet info are posted here. Tri-County Animal Clinic 606-673-1144. Some one from Lawrence County Humane Society-Louisa, KY is helping Popeye some but can not pay it all, they are a non profit also and are over loaded with adoptable dogs and cats. This is the estimated bill for the weekend. Next week he will have to go to the hospital, and that will be higher they have surrendered Popeye so he will also need a temporary foster to recover. I have 2 senior dobies and 2 pups as everyone probably knows and I am sorry to say it would be to stressful for Popeye here. Please help me save Popeye kitty, He held on and wants to live The day is not off to a good start. Is it possible to find a rescue at 6 in the morning, I have sent 2 messages and waiting for a reply. I was woke up at 5 am by the worst sounds in the world for me. I thought it was a dog fight, but no dogs had a cat under my porch. the dogs must have heard me and ran off, they were gone when I got out side. I have a badly injured cat under my porch and can not get to it. I do not see blood or punctures but it can not use its hind legs. It is wearing a collar so it has a home, but I do not know where. I pray some one calls be quickly. I do not know of rescues near me but messaged the Humane Society one county over. Hope fully they call me. This cat needs a vet immediately no matter who it belongs to.
