UPDATE: Its just a few days past a month since this ball started rolling and its all falling together amazingly well [knocks on wood]. At this point, it looks like we should have enough in the kitty to get a stage built, equipment rigged, seats set and we hope to open the doors within June. Still a lot of work to do and pieces to fit together. Weve also got some hardware donations that are gonna rock your world. :D Were real close to be open every day with a swamp cooler going. Bring a book, lounge. Hang out. Scheme. Were close to being able to show old movies on a big screen. Heres the thing... as soon as I got the key the donations pretty much stopped dead, about $800 short of the goal to get us through July. Weve got the fundraiser coming up on the 28th, but I dont want to bank the rent on that. So heres the thing... T-shirts. Lots of folks are asking when theyre coming through. Were at just short of fifty right now... I want to go with a limited edition run of 100. Its a logistical nightmare of sorting by colors, styles and sizes... so I want to do it all at once. Its cheaper that way, too. If we can sell fifty more shirts thatll get us through July, and by that time we should be having enough going on to pay the rent and utilities. :) So if youve donated, youve got a shirt coming. Get a friend to buy one, and theyll come sooner. :D
