UPDATE!! We got a car!! Help me get a disabled Veteran a car!!! Last year on Independence Day My Brother Vinny helped our Veteran #8 by delivering him an AC unit since it was sweltering out and he was home disabled in the heat. I have since became friends with this Veteran and watched him go through a knee surgery after 30+ years of waiting since Vietnam passed to get approval for surgery from VA. I have moved many Veterans since June, 2013! We are up to 103 now and this Veteran is like the Patriarch of the crew. Tonight he calls me asking for help. He is not getting help with his medical transportation anymore to get to the VA in Montrose to shuttle to the Bronx for Physical therapy they feel he is not a priority. He cannot go shopping freely since he does not drive and his SNAP Money had been gut to $ 56 dollars from $ 76. He is expected to live on $ 56 a month of food and supplement with the food pantries for the rest of the month! I need help to get this Veteran a car!! Anyone have a car that is reasonable priced? Someone have an extra car that is good on gas? I would like to make him truly Independent by this July 4th and will! But, need support! Would love a dealership to donate a very reasonable car to him!! He told me if I do I better bring a paddle and boat. When I replied shy? He explained Because I will cry you a river Our elderly weather Veteran or civilians need more care! This Veteran is wonderful, he will give away his last can of food for the needy and I say We need to all share we have plenty and people need to share with the less fortunate To help me help #8 - please message me at mybrothervinny@yahoo.
