UPDATE: maybe the last one! I had my follow up this morning with the wonderful surgeon. All pathology and biopsy results are negative. This whole lousy episode appears to have been because of a bad gall bladder. Inflamed and with fairly bad adhesions. My recovery is on going but I feel pretty fantastic. Lessons learned: 1. Body systems are ALL interrelated. Just because you can get along without something like a gall bladder doesnt mean that it doesnt mess with other systems if it goes bad. My symptoms were almost all cardiac. 2. Dr.s are not all good ones. My personal physician and the surgeon and the cardiologist have all been incredibly informative and willing to listen and chase diagnostics. They have made changes and ordered a myriad of tests to chase this thing down. The pulmonologist? He was not good at all and I will never see him again. He was not informative, his staff going as far as not even letting me know the results of tests he ordered! I will never see him again. 3. Get your records and read them yourself. If I hadnt asked to see the results of the tests that pulmonologist ordered Im not sure that this end diagnosis would have been found yet! After the report was finished talking about the lungs he quit reading, I guess. Truly-----the bulk of those reports are full of impossible to understand medical jargon. Please! Go to the end of the report and there will be 3-5 lines under the heading IMPRESSION. Those lines are written in language that almost anyone can understand. You all owe it yourself! Those reports belong to you! Get them. 4. Find a physician who you trust and who talks to you and believes you. You neednt go to the big city. The ones I trust are literally home town docs. The one I dont is a fancy guy in Omaha who has never examined me, talked to me, explained anything, and apparently doesnt read the page that rates him. I wrote a scathing review and his office called to tell me I need to have a repeat CT scan next month. While I intend to have the scan, he will NEVER see those results. 5. I feel better than I have in months. No nausea for one solid week ( except after I took that narcotic for pain control )! I am pretty mobile today and have a tiny bit of incisional discomfort. Doesnt bother me much. I can stretch, bend, reach, and walk! I am not short of breath so much anymore. I have to stay away from lifting much for awhile but that is about it. What a grand relief! Thanks all for bearing with me. I wont be boring yall with my lousy symptoms anymore......cause I dont have any!!!!
