URGENT APPEAL PLEASE READ, SHARE AND HELP EMERGENCY STATUS This is the biggest appeal ever launched by HHO. We need your help. We collected this little man(Jamie) last night, as you can see he has a horrendous eye infection. Upon receiving veterinary attention from our own vet, we have been advised that he will lose his eye and it is not savable, he told us of our two choices, take the eye out or end his suffering by putting him to sleep. We need to operate on him to remove the eye as soon as possible to stop him suffering even further. The problem is, we cannot operate in Longford he needs to go to a Veterinary Hospital where he will get to an equine hospital to undergo the procedure. He needs to be kept until his stitches heal and it is safe for him to come home, we cannot risk flies, infection etc. We need to cover costs of transport, the operation and his aftercare which will invariably amount to thousands (were waiting on confirmation of prices from various hospitals and available spaces) We need to get the ball rolling now, he is a lovely quiet, kind little, pony who is gelded and needs us all to give him a hand. As you can see from yesterdays accounts with the charity running at a deficit our veterinary bill is already stretched this will tip it over the edge.
