URGENT LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT** Hello your Excellency. Let me first congratulate you for the past 1 year you have been in office , it has been a tough year and all your jubilee manifesto agendas have been put to the test.In case you may have forgotten the following were the agendas you had for the 1st pillar. The first pillar of the coalition - Unity National Cohesion: Aimed at eliminating ethnic divisions.Security: Keeping Kenya safe and secure.Trade & Foreign Affairs: Ensuring a strong Kenya, for a more stable Africa.Arts, Sports & Culture: Celebrating the best in the world.Healthcare: Journey towards a healthier Kenya.Education: Raising education standards in the country.Youth Empowerment: Leading the youth in realizing their Potential.Women’s Empowerment: An Equal ShareSocial Protection: Helping the Vulnerable.Mr. president lets focus on security because that is the backbone of any growing economy.Mr. president as you are aware Kenya has been a victim of many terrorist attacks from somalia Extremists Alshabaab, for the past 2 years since Former , president Kibaki ordered an incursion into somalia following Kidnappings of tourists in the coastal area. Many innocent kenyans have lost their lives, fathers , mothers , children, families left without breadwinners n many children left orphans.Terrorist attacks from every corner, shopping malls, public transport, markets, beaches , places of worship, this is meant to instill fear on kenyans causing them not to conduct their businesses sobery wich will cause our Economy to collapse.Somalia has been war torne country since 1990 that is over 24 yrs now, and this doesnt seem to end any time soon.Mr. president there comes a time in life you realise its not your duty to save the world and you cant teach a pig to sing.whatever issues somalia has can never and will never be solved by war or military means. Having lost so many men and women in uniform on the frontline, who bytheway were very young energetic kenyans, full of hope for the future, and who are yet to be compensated , such a shame.Kenyans are forced to ask ourselves this questions: 1. What are we gaining by being in somalia? 2. Is our presence in somalia worth the blood shed we are seeing in kenya? 3. Shall we be in somalia forever? 4. Shall we wait until all our soldiers have died there so that we can call it a day? 5. Is it our duty to save the world? why should we struggle and sacrifice our people for the sake of country that has only known war? 6. Mr. president Enough is Enough we have to call it a day , You have eat the humble pie and recall our troops back to kenya and save the kenyans this unending blood shed. Mr.President let me refresh your memory, On Oct. 3, 1993, 18 U.S. soldiers were killed in a botched raid while on peace mission in somalia. An angry Somali mob dragged deadAmerican soldiers through the streets of Mogadishu. Washingtons reaction was swift. On Oct. 7, President Clinton announced that all U.S. troops would be pulled out of Somalia within six months. Mr.President America is a superpower country with a military budget of 61 trillion , compare to kenyas 74 billion, if america with al the military and financial resources at their disposal they failed to stabilise somalia, why should kenya strain its little resources, while the whole world watches at the terraces? Now you have a choice Mr. president between choosing peace for kenya or allowing us to continue dying like sheep in the hands of criminals and living lives without knowing what the next minute holds. As a matter of Fact india one of the most peaciful countries in the world has never invaded any country.Mr.President forget about the laptops, the SGR, the 5 stadiums, The lamu port, Please woiiiyeee make us feel safe once more, let us live our normal lives again, thats my humble prayer.Mr. President nothing hurts most like boarding a matatu and you go saying your last prayers because you dont know what will happen the next minute.Kenya is a small country n big in its own way, but we cant carry somalias problems on our shoulders , USA tried n they failed plus we have enough troubles of our own. We must have an exit strategy from somalia, soldiers are dying there wanjiku is dying here , its a Loss, Loss.Mr. president Please Lets withdraw from somalia, let our defence force create a buffer zone along our somalia border, and let the fate take its course on somalia. Before you give peace you must first have peace with inner self, so kenyas peace first then we shall spread the peace to our neighbours. That phrase we are on top of things should be banned from public use , its very sad telling that to children who just lost their mother or father from a blast.Mr.President as i conclude please i beg; protect us n kenyans will live to thankyou, lest you will have no one to rule while we are all five ft under. Wanjikus life is in your hands. Yours sincerely, Royal Kenyan, Who is worried about the life of wanjiku. P.S. :Please share Make sure it reaches the president.
