URGENT!!! This is Richie. He has been at the East Valley Shelter in Van Nuys, CA for roughly three weeks, but I have never taken him out. As far as I can tell, nobody has. Nor have I seen any networking on him. I took him out this morning and found him to be a total sweetheart! He walks nicely on the leash, and approaches dogs in cages tentatively, but with no signs of hostility/aggression. He only wants to crawl into your lap and cuddle and kiss! After I walked him, I asked a clerk to look up his notes, and it turns out that he has a series of bad behavioral notes for aggression in his cage. I had no idea because his kennel card is not marked with a behavioral. I also learned that he was SIGNED OFF AND SCHEDULED TO BE EUTHANIZED TODAY!!! I spoke to a supervisor, and she said she would take him off the list for today, but that he needs to be networked heavily, as she cannot guarantee his safety after today.
