The policies pursued by successive US and European administrations since World War II are at the root of the current bitterness and mistrust that gave rise to terrorism worldwide.The motivation for terrorism is not a religiously inspired hatred of American and Western culture or religion. It is the belief that the USA and Western foreign policy of bombing, invading, and colonising nations is a type of Anglo-American/Western imperial terrorism. Its objective is to ensure continued access to over 70 per cent of the world’s reserves of crude oil. The uprisings in the Middle East in the name of democracy are a smokescreen for deliberate intervention and to fool the world. The USA is an expert at twisting facts in such a way that the truth is suppressed and untruths or half truths are highlighted to favour a war against “terror” or against the “axis of evil countries” just to bring these countries under American economic and political control.For years the US supported Saddam Hussein, the Taleban, Muammar Gaddafi and others till they played the US game of imperialism by initiating terrorism.
