Ultimate Emotional Freedom... Feel it... Dance it... Transmute it with devotion. BURNING MAN - Feminine Medicine Alchemy (my behind the scenes transparency... as so many commented on the powerful impact witnessing me/this had on them) Moments before I was to step onstage as a Priestess space holder & prayerformer - for Alias set at our incredible Camp Mystic party at Burning Man (for my first time) I felt some of the deepest heartache and disappointment I had felt in a very long time. Mind you, the playa does have a way of intensifying most everything and in this case that was definitely true. It was as if I was gasping for emotional air and I was questioning if I could even go onstage (very rare for me!). I took a few moments out back under the stars, cried and returned to the Chillax dome at the perfect time to connect in and line up. Priestess Jen and I stepped on the stage as Alia began her opening beats and alluring vocals. I stepped on the stage, scanned the expansive space packed with hundreds of people and began a clearing with my Om Wand while my sister saged. Through our motions, our presence, our intention, we opened and offered this space as a portal to the divine within. For me, each movement was a loving acknowledgement of the pain, the darkness, the ache, a full embrace of the shadow. Each movement was guided through the heart and directed by the divine. Arms outstretched, reaching to and calling forth the eternal Beloved, each breath connecting with all of life. God and Goddess invited, felt, honored, loved... in my body, in each one before me, in this sacred space, in the entirety of Burning Man. Energy filled me, overflowing. I became DEVOTION in MOTION. Ultimate liberation and transmutation... for me... to dance my devotion, to let energy and love pour forth through me into the room and all around me, to authentically deeply connect within and move from only a place of congruency, of authenticity, of prayer, of connection to something far beyond the edges of my body. My heart soars now as a write about it! We, Priestesses, Alia, the female Vocals, the dancers, dropped in, offered our art and our HEART.
