Um, right...how can I put this without it sounding wrong..... OK, here goes..... Perform without a guitar....No problem Perform without a floor......Damn nigh impossible! Im absolutely gutted right now because I was made to perform on a stage that was absolutely soaking wet, even after they warned me to be careful because it was very slippery out there. Because of this, I had no footing whatsoever. Slipped all over the place. Had trouble even standing up. Couldnt do most of my routine. Came off absolutely fuming. Complained, probably too passionately if Im honest, but, in all honesty, I could have broken my neck out there. As everyone knows, I love this tournament. I love doing Air Guitar and I love putting on a show and entertaining people. But what happened last night needs to be addressed before someone has a serious accident. And I mean a SERIOUS accident. I should never have been made to perform until the stage had been dried out. It was not only unfair on myself but exceedingly dangerous. I have never felt so unsteady on my feet on stage before but, if what happened to me last night brings to light some areas of the production that need to be seriously looked at, i.e. Health and Safety, and results in making the competition safer for all the competitors in future years, then Ill be happy with that. So, lets hope it get sorted before someone ends up with either a broken ankle, broken leg or, heaven forbid, something worse because the World needs this tournament. And, because of that, the tournament needs to make sure its competitors are 110% safe. One final note.....congratulations to Seven Seas. A little bullet of energy who thoroughly deserved the title. Rock out everyone!!
