Unbeknownst to millions of Britons, the wholesale of the UK public - TopicsExpress

Unbeknownst to millions of Britons, the wholesale of the UK public health service - the system that guarantees free and high quality healthcare to all (including the poorest 20% of our population who cannot otherwise afford to see their GPs) to private companies is well underway. The so-called incremental privatization of the NHS eats into core operations of our health system - swapping patient care, broadening access and innovation as priorities for profit making, cost-cutting, short-term scalability, balancing the book, and in some other cases - the mere survival of services (e.g. walk-in clinics, GP surgeries, acute wards and mental health services). Hospitals are in flux and chaos, wards are constantly under-staffed, budget-planning so under-cast that money services get flies in the face of all statistics, evidence and the fundamental premises of clinical governance (doctors/clinicians/patients experience). Why is this the case? Is this just for the current coalition government innocent scheme to save a few pennies for the public budget? Are there big corporates interests at play? Who is making real sacrifice? Most importantly, Who are the real beneficiaries (who is getting all the money?) The film Sell-Off offers some insight into the brutal truth of what unprecedented threats this most fundamental fibre of Britains public welfare system is facing NOW. goo.gl/TkaXnP
