BID TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR CHILDREN OF MIGRANTS TO OBTAIN HAITIAN PASSPORT: The issue of statelessness as it relates to persons born in the Bahamas of Haitian descent has been highly contested, with both Haitian and Bahamian government officials refuting the interpretation given Haitis citizenship laws.... Personally, I blame all governments of the Bahamas for having allowed this situation to deteriorate to the point it has with these so-called STATELESS persons living in the Bahamas today. THIS IS APALLING to say the least. The question is: How on Gods earth would any responsible government sit back and allow illegals to over run our country to the extent it has, while doing nothing in the meantime to police the situation any further. I am in agreement with Former Assistant Commissioner of police Paul Thompsons position, that Haitian President Michel Martelly is insincere about his illegal immigration concerns. Too bad, our government is gullible enough to take him seriously, by allowing them to continue taking advantage of the Bahamas. POOR US!
