Up thinking about yet another young life taken way too early. This time it hit close to home. Praying for the safety of my family as they travel to Buffalo to comfort my cousins and provide strength and support. Praying for my cousins who lost their son/brother/father/companion/friend. I love you all! But most of all praying for these young men in the streets living a life without purpose and direction. Not understanding or knowing what real love and brotherhood really are. Living by the laws of the street that will lead them to destinations with no happy endings. Leaving grieving mothers, babies, siblings behind to try to pick up the pieces. Praying that God will provide guidance to them and us to change whats going on in our communities. Its heartbreaking to watch the fast downward spiral of our youth and not understand how we got here or what we can do to change it. Just hoping the violence, ignorance, and disrespect stops is not enough, we need action and intervention. But where do we start......
