Update Saturday 25/10/14: Sophie never ceases to amaze me, she has set a benchmark for strength and resilience that makes me feel like a failure by complaining about my bad back. She wouldnt talk to any one this morning but when she got a sip of cold water things all changed. Buy lunch time she had the arterial cannula removed the catheter removed and was out of bed on my lap. We then moved from ICU to hdu where Sophie did continue with improvements and has constantly been asking for prawns. Her oxygen levels have dropped and raised throughout the afternoon so they have some oxygen blowing into her face a bit. She ended up sitting up completely at one stage which is good. She is being weaned from the sedatives and hopefully be out of hdu soon.
