Update about the SIR Gs BLACK WEDNESDAY MARCH!! Hi all, this is an update about the march that will be held tomorrow in honour of Mk Motswaledi. The police are too slow to issue the permit to us and we are aware of the fact that they are doing this to slow us down in mobilising many people for this demonstration. They have promised to issue the permit to us in the morning tomorrow. The map showing the proposed route for the march was submitted this morning to the police as they requested, they now have everything they demanded from us. If we do not get the police permit by 8am tomorrow, our UDC leadership has promised to go to court to apply for a court order that will give us the green light to go on with the march. So tomorrow we should all gather at the notwane grounds and wait for either the police permit or the court order before we carry on with the march!! The Proposed route: Please see the proposed route in the picture below (yellow line with red dots on it). We are planning to start at Notwane grounds, all the way to partial then down south through GSS and Marina hospital, then to the main mall around it then all the way to Methodist church at ext4 until we reach UB gate on Nanogang CJSS side then go and attend the final memorial service to be held at 2pm at the UB Stadium! The route is about 8.5km long, so if we walk at 1m/s speed, it will take us around 2hrs to complete the march. So come and have a good exercise and please bring good walking shoes because ga o kake wa batla go nna le di-khonse fa o fetsa. The T-shirts for the March! About 500 black t-shirts are being printed right now, specifically for this event. They will only be sold for 30pula because this will be a none-profit making initiative. Come and buy them if you do not have anything black to wear. Come in large numbers and on time. Lets start arriving at Notwane grounds around 11am so that the march can start around 12noon, then attend the final memorial at service at UB stadium at 2pm.
