Update from Bens brother Kallan... Theyve been reducing the sedative today, at this point its basically up to Ben as to how quickly he comes out of it. We went and visited him today, his ICP is sitting at a good level and theres a good amount of movement on the left side of his body. Hes gripping our hands every now and then when we ask him, and its getting harder for us (particularly mum) to leave his side. The doctors would like to see more movement on his right. Theyre also still draining fluid from his head occasionally to keep the pressure down, however it seems to have stabilised for the most. The staff have described their current role as simply ensuring that Ben remains in a good enough condition for his brain to recover at his own rate. The biggest thing for them is ensuring his blood pressure stays stable, in order to minimise the chance of the AVM re-hemorrhaging (which is statistically quite high within the fourteen days following the first bleed). Prayer in these areas and for a bit of peace in leaving Bens side would be super appreciated. Thanks again for all the love and support youre showering us with, its been incredible x
