Update on Jon: Hes walking! He didnt use the wheelchair all weekend! It was fantastic to see him spend the entire day today walking around the house, up/down the deck, to/from the bathroom, etc. All without a crutch! Its slow and still a bit painful for him. But hes doing it! For now he can only do this with his sneakers on because they give him extra support. When hes walking barefoot, he still needs a crutch. Still, thats getting better, too. He is planning on walking with a crutch during school on Tuesday (keeping the wheelchair in the nurses office just in case). It is so great to see him vertical again. Its been a long 5 months!
