Update on Miss Austin: Thank you everyone for your prayers and comments, she did well yesterday with her testing, but unfortunately the results were not good. She has two more tumors in her spine that is more than likely related to the one in the lower part of her brain, its not safe to surgically remove because it will give her some permanent disabilities. So they are talking about using the Gamma Ray Knife and then start heavy radiation to her spine for a span of 4-5 weeks, at least that is the possible plan at this moment. Austin knows that Jesus lives in her heart and she is not afraid to tell you and she has this sweet spirit about her that is kind of angelic. Please add her and her family to your daily prayer list as she goes on this next journey and pray that her testimony will continue to shine in a way to impact those around her wherever she goes. The original cancer that she had in the very beginning was so rare that it didnt have a name and she is the only child in the country that they know of who has dealt with it and so far the doctors at MUSC have done a wonderful job in treating her. I am not sure if this time it is the same as the original but they did say that if it was to return that it may come from within the spine. Please also pray for continued wisdom for the doctors, and of course for a complete healing for Austin, we will stay positive because we know that God is bigger than all of this and that His will...will be down for His glory! Thank you again! This is from her sweet Godmother and says more than I said....They could never classify her original cancer because it was so rare they sent it to Johns Hopkins and other places and could never really say what it was......They said he is the best pathologist in the nation and he said it had 7 or 8 different characteristics that they couldnt identify....Praise God and pray and it will be taken care of this time and that she will be stronger than ever....:)
