Update on my progress... I swear I think Ive stashed digital photos everywhere. I have a program for sorting the photos, and I started a new vault for them, an all inclusive vault... and pressed the button to find them on my external hard drive... OMG!!!! 30,000 jpgs later... (which totally explains why my external hard drive is so full). The program pulled all my digital scrapbooking files into the program, as well as any, and all duplicate pictures. It seems in a previous program I had used, the program had saved every revision as a seperate file... so I have up to 10 copies of the same picture but with minute file name changes to it... I have deleted over 10,000 pictures and accidental scrapbooking items so far. I cannot wait to see the real number of pictures once im done going through them. My plan, once having thrown out the unnecessary ones (and any duplicate files on the hard drive) , is to label what has been printed/scrapbooked and to tag them for the proper file to put them into. I still have a ton of pictures on CD, so those are the next portion of this adventure for me. Ive had my printed pictures all labeled and in chronological order for quite some time now, its my digital thats been a nightmare for a while...
