Update on trip to Poland: Dear 2014 Potential Travelers, Thank you for those who attended our March 4 information session and best wishes for all of you who could not attend. Stephenie and I are excited about the diverse makeup of the group and looking forward to teaching the topic and leading everyone through our full itinerary in Poland. A few things: 1. Deposits: If you plan on going on the institute trip to Poland you must have your $300.00 deposit submitted by March 28 at 3:00 p.m. If you have the money, please do this now so we can start to get reliable numbers for this trip. Please make checks payable to “Durgan Travel” and submit to Cyndi Allison, Continuing Studies, SSU, 352 Lafayette Street, Salem MA 01970. Contact: [email protected] or 978.542.6309. You may also hand them to Stephenie or me to deliver to Cyndi. Please note that it is for Poland 2014 and make sure the check has your correct mailing address. 2. Paperwork: Once Cyndi gets your check, she will add you to our database and send you a packet of forms that you must fill out. Please return these as soon as possible to Cyndi. You must include a copy of passport photo page so if you need to get your passport, do that now. It gets very busy at the Passport Office in May and June, so if you submit now (online application printed out, with special passport photograph from CVS or Walgreens and check and go to local post office) you can get your new or renewed passport pretty quickly. 3. Registration and scholarships: You can begin to Register for the institute (undergrad or graduate) when summer registration goes live at SSU at the end of March. You will have to pay for the course when you register if you are applying for a scholarship. We will only consider scholarship applications for undergraduate and graduate students who have registered and paid for the course (or are awaiting financial aid). Make sure you are registering for correct sections for ENG and HST since there are more than one study and travel institutes this summer.
